World Cup Watch Party

Hundreds of soccer fans came to Little Woodrow’s east downtown location to watch as groups were selected for the 2026 World Cup.

What’s the retail value for what FIFA says is the biggest sporting event in history — and how much would soccer fans actually pay for it?

If the 2026 FIFA World Cup is a priceless experience, then there are still many tickets available, both directly from FIFA and from resale markets. If spending less money is the goal, maybe the next World Cup will be better.

With less than three weeks until the start of the World Cup, most tickets available directly from FIFA for Houston’s seven matches cost more than $1,000 apiece. But there are still a few ways to see the tournament for less than that — and the June 26 match between Cabo Verde and Saudi Arabia is still moderately affordable.
