EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — IT IS FIGHT WEEK IN THE SUN CITY.
El Paso native Stephanie Han will step into the ring on Saturday night to face combat sports legend Holly Holm in the main event of Most Valuable Promotions’ MVPW-03.

The two will square off at the El Paso County Coliseum in a rematch of their January bout in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
In their first meeting, Han earned a technical decision victory after an accidental head clash opened a cut on Han in the seventh round that forced the fight to be stopped.
Now, Han gets another shot at Holm — this time in front of a home crowd in El Paso.
It’s a fight Han has been preparing for over the past several months, and she now enters the final stretch of training camp.
Han says she’s excited camp is nearly over and she’s ready to step back into the ring to defend her WBA lightweight world title.

“It’s surreal. I’m anxious. I’m nervous. I’m excited. It’s like all these feelings in one,” Stephanie Han said in an interview with KTSM on Monday. “Most importantly, I am just ready to get it done. I have trained so hard these last couple months, so now I just want all the hard work to pay off and I want to have this beautiful show in El Paso.”
“I know Holly’s a competitor, I know she’s an athlete and I know she is mad about the loss,” Han said on Monday. “I know she wants to take my belt, so I know she’s been training hard. She’s going to be 100%, and I’m just going to focus on what I can control. I’ve been training hard, sparring hard, and doing everything I’m supposed to be doing because I want to retain my belt.”
Han vs. Holm 2 will headline MVPW-03, one of 14 fights scheduled for Saturday night at the El Paso County Coliseum.
