Dallas weather: Tuesday brings chances of rain and storms to D-FW

Storms are expected to roll back in to Dallas-Fort Worth Tuesday, as North Texans get back to work after the Memorial Day weekend. 

The day will start mostly cloudy with temperatures expected to top out near 85 degrees before dropping to 69 degrees at night, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. The region has a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. 

Rain chances are forecast to climb to 80% at night with showers and thunderstorms hitting North Texas after 1 a.m. Rainfall amounts could range between a quarter and half an inch, the weather service’s forecast said. Severe weather chances are low, according to the weather service, though there is a risk of some heavy rain.

North Texas will see a continued trend of wet weather with consistent chances of storms throughout the week, rolling into the coming weekend.  Although there is some sunshine in the forecast, clouds will linger for the rest of the week.
