It’s difficult to upstage the Bucky the Beaver mascot, but it’s safe to assume that Demi Lovato could manage it. The pop star dropped by the beaver-themed travel center on Monday before her show in Houston, as part of her It’s Not That Deep album tour that included previous stops in Dallas and Austin.

In a post on TikTok, Lovato swung her phone around 360 degrees in sheer delight as the viral audio “Come with me to Bussseeyyys!” plays over it, writing underneath, “buccees be bussin 🤠 see you tonight houston!!!!”

SinceĀ Lovato was brought up in Dallas, she obviously wasn’t some out-of-state tourist mispronouncing Buc-ee’s. The viral audio pronunciation is actually a reference to popular TikTok creator Benji Green’s regular Buc-ee’s visits, which usually involve him losing it with excitement at every item the travel center offers.

It’s not clear whether fans spotted the former Disney Channel star during her visit, or if the sunglasses she’s wearing in the video somehow threw them off the scent in Clark Kent fashion. But many in the comments seemed to imagine running intoĀ Lovato at Buc-ee’s as a dream.

“Imagine running intoĀ Demi Lovato at buccees,” wrote one person. “If I was at Buc-ee’s and I saw Demi there I would think I was in heaven,” responded another.

Lovato is not the first celebrity to pay respect to Buc-ee’s. Actor John Stamos bought some ankle socks and a half-pound of jerky there. Sabrina Carpenter tried to keep a straight face while she and her friends did readings of Buc-ee’s corny household items, like a wall sign that says, “Step aside, coffee. This is a job for alcohol.” And even Jeff Goldblum paid a visit outside of his wizard costume before the Wicked: For Good premiere.

It’s becoming clear that no celebrity or politician’s visit to Texas is quite complete without aĀ Buc-ee’s stop—not that the travel center needs help spreading the word.
