Dallas-area chef Tiffany Derry opened a new dessert shop, Syrup + Sno, in Grand Prairie’s EpicCentral development.
The MasterChef judge — who has become D-FW’s most prolific TV chef, after more than 15 years on screen — is selling soft serve, cookies and build-your-own snow cones at the new shop. It’s located near The Landing, Derry’s new sports bar in EpicCentral.
Syrup + Sno opened on Memorial Day 2026. It was created to honor the array of sweet treats in many cultures.
“Turns out,” reads the website, “joy is pretty universal. Almost every culture in the world has its own version of shaved ice — Louisiana Sneaux Balls, Hawaiian Shaved Ice, Puerto Rican piragua, Japanese kakigōri, Nigerian snow cones, Mexican raspados, Korean bingsu. Different names, different flavors, same feeling.”
Menu items range from classic to unexpected. Customers will find $12 “signature” snow cones like bananas foster or mangonada. The halo-halo piles on more ingredients than any other: ube, mango, soft serve ice cream, coconut, strawberries, red bean and mochi.
Macaron ice cream sandwiches — or two crunchy cookies with ice cream in between — come in varieties like caramel toffee latte and vegan blueberry crumble.
Visitors can also build their own soft serve creations for $7 and top each cold swirl with 75-cent extras: Pop Rocks, gummy bears, M&Ms, mochi, Texas pecans, sprinkles and more.
Though most treats are packed with sugar, a few are available with sugar-free syrup, like the mango or tiger’s blood snow cones.
