Construction for the upgrades at Austin’s only Aritzia is expected to begin on August 17 and is slated to wrap up by November 23, just in time for Black Friday and holiday gifting season. The scope of work for the project includes adding 1,155 square feet of retail space to Aritzia’s existing 7,013 square foot retail space.

It’s unclear if Artizia will close for the remodel, and MySA reached out to Artizia and The Domain for more information. Last year, The Domain temporarily closed its Zara store for six months as the store underwent a huge transformation. It’s possible the same could happen to the Domain Aritizia, which happens to be the brand’s only location in Austin.

In addition to its Austin storefront, Aritzia has five other Texas stores in San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Southlake and Plano.

Founded in Vancouver, Canada, Aritzia is a premium “everyday luxury” women’s clothing store known for its high-quality basics, athleisure and an elevated boutique shopping experience. The fashion-forward brand specializes in lifestyle apparel—from office wear to outerwear—like its signature “Super Puff” puffer jackets, Mega Sweats and contour bodysuits, tops and more.

Aritzia has grown to operate over 140 boutiques across North America, with more than 70 locations in the United States and nearly 70 stores in Canada, according to the brand’s website. MySA reached out to the Domain and Aritzia for comment.
