EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso voters will head back to the polls on Tuesday for the Texas primary runoff election, a round of voting that will help determine which candidates appear on the November ballot.

Here’s what you need to know:

Tuesday’s runoffs will decide the final party nominees for major statewide offices, including attorney general and lieutenant governor. Additionally, Texas voters will see a U.S. Senate race where Republican incumbent Sen. John Cornyn is seeking a fifth term against challenger Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. State Rep. James Talarico won the Democratic nomination for the Senate seat in the March primary.

In El Paso, Republican voters will also choose who will challenge Democrat U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar in the fall.

Other local races include Democratic runoffs for judgeships in the 168th District Court and County Court at Law No. 2, as well as several justices of the peace.
