The filming of Frisco King has landed in one of Dallas’ most premier shopping centers: Highland Park Village.
The popular gathering place for locals looking for top fashion brands attracted the crew of the show that’s starring Samuel L. Jackson in the spin-off of Tulsa King. The Taylor Sheridan series has been seeking extras for different areas around the region.
An Instagram post by Highland Park Village shows a clapper board (for announcing action) that says “Frisco King” and “Season One” with what looks like a high-end vehicle looking sporty in the background. It was take one.
There also was a director’s chair with the series title emblazoned on the back of it along with a lot of camera-type gear.
Frisco King has been filming in North Texas since March and recently appeared in Fort Worth and Southlake, closing roads in both cities. The series follows Russell Lee Washington Jr. (Jackson), a hitman introduced in Season 3 of the mob show Tulsa King, who aims to start a new life and enterprise in Frisco. That city’s mayor, Jeff Cheney, has described the spin-off as a fish-out-of-water comedy.
Highland Park Village features some of the biggest names in luxury shopping with brands that include Cartier, Chanel and Hermes.
