LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – City of Lubbock Animal Services is seeking medical fosters for six litters of puppies and their nursing mothers.
The animals need foster care until the puppies are 6-8 weeks old and can be weaned, according to the city.
The shelter is currently caring for 26 puppies, some newborn, and six mother dogs. The dogs include Martha with six puppies, Mia with five puppies, Stella with four puppies, Chata with six puppies, Sweetie with two puppies and ShawtieBae with three puppies.
The city said the community has many stray animals and urged pet owners to spay and neuter their animals.
Those interested in fostering can call Lubbock Animal Services at 806-775-2057. The shelter also provides information and resources for spaying and neutering.
