One of America’s most celebrated fireworks shows returns July 3 as the nation begins its 250th birthday celebration

One of North Texas’ most iconic summer traditions is almost back.

Tickets for the official Addison Kaboom Town! watch party at Addison Circle Park goes on sale June 1, giving families an opportunity to secure spots for one of the country’s most recognized Independence Day celebrations.

Returning on July 3, 2026, the event arrives with added significance as communities across the country begin commemorating America’s Semiquincentennial, marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

One Of The Nation’s Top Fireworks Shows

For decades, Addison Kaboom Town has drawn hundreds of thousands of visitors to the town’s 4.4 square miles, transforming Addison into one giant Independence Day celebration.

The annual event, which first launched in 1985, recently earned national recognition again after being named the No. 4 Best Place to Watch Fireworks in America by USA Today.

The ranking continues a long history of national recognition for Addison Kaboom Town!, which has repeatedly appeared on lists highlighting the country’s top fireworks displays. The event has also previously been recognized in national rankings

More Than Fireworks

While the fireworks remain the headline attraction, the celebration includes a full day of entertainment.

Visitors can expect:

Live music performances
The Addison Airport Air Show
Food and beverage vendors
Family-friendly festival activities
The expanded Uncle Sam Jam Silent Disco
Patriotic displays honoring America’s 250th birthday

A new addition this year is the Patriotic Pergola, which will feature the flags of all 50 states and five U.S. territories displayed in the order they entered the Union, including Texas as the 28th state. The evening schedule includes performances by Poo Live Crew and Emerald City All-Stars before the fireworks show lights up the sky.

Watch From The Park Or Across Addison

The official celebration takes place at Addison Circle Park, where tickets traditionally sell out each year. However, spectators can also enjoy the festivities from many of Addison’s restaurants, hotels and watch parties throughout town. Organizers note that the community’s more than 200 restaurants and 23 hotels create viewing opportunities well beyond the park itself.
