El Paso Community College (EPCC) is welcoming students, job seekers, and the entire El Paso community to a special “Empowering Careers. Building Futures.” job fair happening today, October 14, at the Valle Verde Campus. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the AST Building Flexitorium, located at 919 Hunter Drive.
Hosted by EPCC’s Center for Students with Disabilities (CSD) and Career and Transfer Services (CaTS), the fair is part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month and aims to create more opportunities for individuals of all abilities. For many people with disabilities, finding meaningful work can be an uphill battle. It is not always a matter of willingness from employers, but often a result of complicated restrictions that limit how much income someone can earn without risking the loss of vital medical benefits.
Expanding Access to Employment
Job fairs like this one are designed to change that reality. They bring together inclusive employers who understand the challenges and who offer flexible positions, adaptive schedules, and supportive environments. These opportunities can make all the difference for someone looking to grow their career while maintaining access to the care and resources they need.
Free Career Guidance and Resume Support
In addition to connecting with employers, attendees can take advantage of on-site resume reviews and one-on-one career support. EPCC staff will be on hand to provide guidance and help job seekers prepare for long-term success in a competitive job market.
Open to Everyone
The event is free and open to all students, faculty, staff, and community members.
For more information, contact the Center for Students with Disabilities at (915) 831-2426 or email csd@epcc.edu.
If you or someone you know is looking for a workplace that values inclusion and accessibility, today’s Hireability Job Fair at EPCC is the perfect place to start.
