EUGENE – The Oregon Ducks defeated Oregon State 4-1 Sunday night in the Eugene Regional to advance to the super regional round of the NCAA tournament.
A year after losing their first two games to be eliminated from the 2025 Eugene Regional, the Ducks defeated Yale, Washington State and in-state rival Oregon State in consecutive days at PK Park.

No. 11-seed Oregon (43-16) advances to the best-of-three super regional round, playing next weekend at No. 6 Texas (43-13). The Longhorns won the Austin Regional with a 6-4 win over UC Santa Barbara.
This will be Oregon’s third trip to the super regionals in four years, and fourth overall.
In 2024, Texas A&M won the first two games against UO to claim the Bryan-College Station Super Regional. In 2023, Oregon hosted the Eugene Super Regional and lost a three-game series to Oral Roberts.
On Sunday against Oregon State, Oregon pitcher Miles Gosztola led the way by allowing just one run and five hits in six innings, striking out eight.

The Beavers (45-14) struck first in the second inning when center fielder Easton Talt singled to right, scoring Adam Haight from second, giving OSU a 1-0 lead.
The Ducks answered in the top of the third when third baseman Drew Smith singled to right, scoring Jack Brooks to tie the game at 1-1.

From that point on, both starting pitchers shut down the opposing lineups.
OSU starter Wyatt Queen, making his first start of the season, pitched 4 2/3 innings, striking out seven. He left after recording back-to-back strikeouts in the fifth, having thrown 63 pitches.
Reliever Isaac Yeager (1.42 ERA) held the Ducks offense down until the seventh inning when Oregon loaded the bases.

That led to Albert Roblez (1.55 ERA) entering the game for Yeager.
Roblez promptly walked Brooks, scoring Burke-Lee Mabeus, then walked Ryan Cooney, scoring Maddox Molony.
Next, Angel Laya grounded out to third, scoring Jax Gimenez to put Oregon up 4-1.
That proved to be more than enough runs for Oregon’s bullpen.
Luke Morgan recorded three strikeouts in the seventh.
In the eighth, Tanner Bradley allowed runners to get on first and second with two outs, but ended the inning by striking out Jacob Galloway.
The ninth belonged to closer Devin Bell, who retired the side to end the game.
EUGENE REGIONAL RECAP
Oregon State opened the tournament by losing 3-2 to Washington State on Friday afternoon.

That night, the Ducks hammered Yale 14-2.
On Saturday afternoon, Oregon State defeated the Bulldogs 9-2 to stay alive. Later that night, Oregon beat WSU 4-0 to advance to Sunday.
The Cougars’ loss set up a rematch with the Beavers on Sunday afternoon, which OSU won 10-1, setting up a showdown with Oregon.
During the regular season, Oregon State defeated the Ducks 10-6 in Eugene on March 3.
On April 22, Oregon got a measure of revenge by defeating the Beavers 7-3 in Corvallis.
