Serious injuries reported after garbage truck rollover on South Loop and Slide

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – One person is seriously injured after a City of Lubbock garbage truck rolled over on South Loop 289 and Slide Rd.

Just before 10:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle crash with injuries.

Police say the person was transported with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Traffic is down to one lane going west just before the Slide overpass. Avoid the area if possible while crews work to clear the scene.
