As city of Corpus Christi officials return to debate on the Inner Harbor desalination project, how this question will be answered may mean the difference between approval or rejection: How will brine impact the bays system?
Several City Council members have said the results of additional environmental study will be key to their vote.
Known as a far-field model, the new research analyzed the potential effects of the proposed plant’s operation on salinity and temperature of the bays.
