One group said another group of men had robbed them
BELLAIRE, Texas – A man died after being shot multiple times in Bellaire early Saturday morning.
The Bellaire Police Department said they responded at 3:03 a.m. after getting reports of multiple gunshots in the area of Bellaire Blvd. and South Rice Avenue.
While searching the area, an officer found three agitated individuals outside a vehicle in the Chevron gas station parking lot at 5020 Bellaire Blvd.
The individuals were detained for the investigation. They told the officer that they had been robbed by another group of men in a gray Honda sedan that had fled westbound.
Assisting agencies located the gray Honda sedan in a parking lot at 5320 Bellaire Blvd. Two men at the location were attending to a third man, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers administered CPR until the Bellaire Fire Department arrived and continued lifesaving measures. The man was pronounced dead at 3:24 a.m.
Investigators believe there may have been an exchange of gunfire between the two groups
All involved individuals were detained and this remains an active investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Bellaire Police Department at (713) 668-0487
