Six Dallas bars will come together this Wednesday to turn the streets of downtown into a Pride Month celebration with the third annual Rainbow Tour.

The tour will take place Wednesday, June 3, from 7 to 10 p.m., and is organized by Downtown Dallas Inc. Participants will visit several businesses on Main Street and the surrounding area while collecting rainbow-colored wristbands that will grant them special access to the after-party for the Dallas Pride Sunset Parade at Shyboy Hi-Fi on Saturday, June 6.

This tour is one of the activities kicking off the city’s Pride Month celebrations.

In addition to drawing visitors to downtown Dallas, the event aims to connect attendees with some of the bars and businesses that are part of the city’s nightlife.

Participants should meet at 7 p.m. in front of The Joule hotel at The Eye Lawn at 1601 Main St. where they will receive a map to begin the tour.

The event involves visiting a series of downtown establishments to collect a bracelet of a different color at each stop. Participating venues are:

Those who complete the tour and collect all six bracelets will receive special access to the Saturday after-party at Shyboy Hi-Fi.

The event will begin at 8 p.m. and will feature DJ and producer Derrick Carter, considered one of the most influential figures in international house music. Musicians and DJs Mark Farina and Zack Witness will also perform.

A portion of the proceeds from tickets for the Saturday party will go to Dallas Pride.
