The owners of Chimy’s, a popular burger-and-beer grill in the West 7th area, will team with a Dallas fly-fishing shop to open a restaurant and beer garden along the Trinity River in Westside Village.
Levee Porch, a new restaurant and patio, will open along with Tailwaters Fly Fishing Co. next summer along the West Fork of the Trinity River near 100 N. University Drive.
The project is described as a “back yard” for the new office, retail and residential complex that replaced warehouses and car dealerships along the former White Settlement Road.
Levee Porch will offer a shaded porch and walk-up bar with steps leading down to a beer garden beneath live oak trees near the river.
Images show a sidewalk leading to the Trinity Trail through Rockwood Park, offering the same kind of connection to the river walk that the Shops at Clearfork offer near another restaurant, Press Cafe.
Chimy’s, founded in Lubbock in 2002, gained a quick reputation for green chile cheeseburgers, nachos, soft tacos and drinks at its Fort Worth location, tucked away at 1053 Foch St. in the Foch Street Warehouses.
Levee Porch will serve burgers, cheesesteaks and Cuban sandwiches along with margaritas, mojitos and beer, according to the Westside Village announcement.
Owner Kyle Wright described Levee Porch as “a perfect place for a biker or kayaker to come down the trail and find an oasis.”

Phase 1 of the Westside Village project includes one office building with an adjacent restaurant separated by a garden space. The development will break ground in early 2026 and cost $1.7 billion.
Westside Village, the new development by University Drive and White Settlement road, will mix the urban, modern style with Fort Worth architecture. It will include shops, apartments, offices and more.
