Lubbock man dies in fatal hit-and-run in Winkler County, driver wanted
WINKLER COUNTY, TEXAS (KMID/KPEJ) – A Lubbock man was struck and killed in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Sunday night in Winkler County, and the driver involved is still wanted after failing to render aid.
Texas Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred at 11 PM on May 31st on CR313 at mile marker 225. The investigation indicated that an unidentified vehicle traveling southbound on County Road 313 struck a pedestrian who was on the roadway. The unidentified driver failed to render aid and fled the scene.
The pedestrian, 43-year-old Clayton David Teeder of Lubbock, Texas, had fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
