HOUSTON — A triple shooting early Sunday morning left one man dead and two others injured in northeast Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
Lt. Ali with HPD said the call came in a little before 2 a.m. from Lavender Street just south of E. Crosstimbers Street. When officers arrived, they found two adult men lying in the middle of the street, both suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Houston Fire Department crews rushed both victims to a nearby hospital for treatment. A third man was found dead at the scene.
“All information is preliminary at this time,” Lt. Ali said. “We do not have any information on what transpired this event tonight, and we do not have any suspects information at this time.”
HPD’s Homicide Division and Crime Scene Unit responded to investigate what led up to the gunfire.
Lt. Ali encouraged anyone with information to contact HPD’s Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers.
Police said it’s still too early to tell what triggered the shooting or where exactly it started. No suspect information has been released.
