Houston police say a 25-year-old man was found shot and killed inside a hotel room at the Ramada by Wyndham Westchase early Sunday morning.
HOUSTON — Police are investigating after a man was found shot and killed inside a hotel room early Sunday morning in west Houston.
The shooting happened at the Ramada by Wyndham Houston Westchase Hotel, located off Hayes Road near Westheimer Road.
According to investigators, officers were called to the scene just a few hours before dawn. When they arrived, they found a man dead inside one of the hotel rooms.
Several family members, including the victim’s mother, gathered outside the hotel — emotional and heartbroken as they waited for answers. Relatives told KHOU 11 the man was 25 years old and from Houston, but they asked that his name not be shared yet because not all family members have been notified.
Homicide investigators were seen at the scene along with multiple patrol units as they worked to collect evidence and speak with witnesses. Police have not said whether they’ve identified or located the shooter, and it’s still unclear if the gunman is on the loose.
Investigators are expected to release more information as the case develops.
