Authorities say the truck went off the road and overturned, killing the driver.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A Mathis man died Monday afternoon after a rollover crash on FM 3161 in Live Oak County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
DPS said 43-year-old Mark Flores was driving a 1991 GMC truck on FM 3161 when he approached a sharp curve and lost control of the vehicle.
Investigators said the truck went off the right side of the road before crossing back over both lanes and overturning. Flores was thrown partially from the truck during the crash and suffered fatal injuries.
Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Judge Elizabeth Ellis pronounced Flores dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by Texas Highway Patrol troopers from the Three Rivers office.
