CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — ICE, in collaboration with federal, state, and local law enforcement, arrested 24 illegal aliens during a targeted operation in Corpus Christi on May 13.
The operation aimed to identify, arrest, and remove illegal aliens, demonstrating a unified mission to ensure public safety, according to ICE. Those arrested included individuals with convictions for theft, assault, and driving while intoxicated, as well as arrests for possession of a controlled substance, criminal trespass, and illegal reentry into the U.S. These individuals could face additional charges for illegal reentry, stated the source.
Under Secretary Mullin emphasized ICE’s focus on removing criminal illegal aliens from American communities. “The outcomes of this operation speak for themselves and are a testament to the outstanding teamwork, professionalism, and determination displayed by everyone involved,” said ICE Harlingen acting Field Office Director Matthew Ochoa. “The joint effort between our partners was instrumental to our success, and I am grateful for the commitment and effort everyone contributed.”
Among those arrested were Divya Rana-Maheshbhai, of India, convicted of theft; Denis Salinas Lara, of Honduras, convicted of simple assault involving family violence and previously removed from the U.S.; and Heriberto Hernandez-Suarez, of Mexico, convicted of driving while intoxicated.
