Samsung Plans a Move to Texas
The latest company to head to Texas: Samsung Electronics is planning to move its US headquarters to Plano from Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, Seyoon Kim reports.
The move, reported by Yonhap News, is aimed at strengthening the synergy of Samsung’s US business. The company has long had a presence in Texas, and, in 2022, broke ground on a new $17 billion semiconductor plant in Taylor, Texas.
About 1,000 employees work in the company’s Englewood Cliffs office. Most are likely to be reassigned to the new Plano headquarters.
