ROCKPORT, Texas — Artists and art enthusiasts will gather at Rockport Harbor for the 58th Annual Rockport Art Festival on July 4-5, 2026, where organizers have added climate-controlled spaces and enhanced programming to the weekend celebration.

The Rockport Center of the Arts organizes the festival with support from presenting sponsor Salemi’s ACE Hardware. The event has operated continuously since 1969, establishing itself as among Texas’ most enduring juried art competitions and drawing participants from multiple states.

Festival organizers have implemented upgrades for 2026, including a climate-controlled artist tent funded by AEP Texas Foundation and additional children’s activities supported by H-E-B Helping Here.

“This year’s Rockport Art Festival is about honoring tradition while continuing to elevate the experience for both artists and guests through exciting new additions and enhanced amenities,” said Karen Ernst, chairperson of Art Fest. “From our new air-conditioned artist tent, sponsored by AEP Texas Foundation, and expanded children’s programming, sponsored by H-E-B Helping Here, to the incredible talent represented by more than 140 artists from across the country, we are proud to continue positioning Rockport as one of Texas’ premier coastal arts destinations.”

Visitors can browse artwork spanning multiple artistic disciplines and interact directly with creators while considering purchases during the two-day event. Musical performances, food service, retail opportunities and activities designed for families will complement the art displays against the backdrop of Aransas Bay.

The Rockport Center of the Arts will simultaneously operate Rockport Legends, an exhibition recognizing previous Rockport Art Festival Master Artists. This tribute display opens June 12 and continues through August 30, 2026, featuring work from artists who have influenced the festival’s development across three decades. The center will host a combined reception for Byways and Rockport Legends on June 13 from 5-7 p.m.

Festival passes are available for purchase now. Complete event information and artist profiles are on the Rockport Center of the Arts website
