PEARLAND, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after a child who was riding a mini-bike was killed after being hit by a driver in Pearland on Saturday, according to police.
According to the Pearland Police Department, officers responded to the crash in the 2400 block of Lynn Drive at 11:09 a.m.
Police said that the boy was riding on a small, gas-powered mini bike when he collided with the car.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
Law enforcement says that the driver stayed at the scene.
Details are still limited to what caused or led up to the crash.
