As the 2026 NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and the New York Knicks are underway, many celebrities are making their way to the Alamo City to watch the Spurs at home.
Sometimes, those celebs have a San Antonio connection, like former Spurs player Danny Green, who recently made an appearance at one of the city’s most iconic restaurants. Before Game 1 of the NBA Finals, the retired hooper, who was part of the Spurs lineup that brought home the championship in 2014, stopped by Mi Tierra, a San Antonio eatery known for its maximalist decor and 85-year history.
The restaurant shared the news of Green’s appearance in a recent Instagram post: “A big thank you to Danny Green for stopping by Mi Tierra!” the business wrote. “We always love welcoming members of the Spurs familia-past, present, and forever part of San Antonio’s story.”
A representative for Mi Tierra told MySA in a statement that the restaurant welcomes everyone visiting during the NBA Finals to dine at the long-running Tex-Mex restaurant: “There’s always a great energy in our city when the Spurs are in the finals. We look forward to serving all the Spurs fans this series and showing any fans who made the journey from New York the world-class comida y cultura San Antonio is known for.”
