LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – We’ve seen a lot of rain for a lot of the area over the past week or two.
Substantial rainfall has come for a majority of the area over the past several days, with the latest round coming last night(Dylan Smith)
Moving forward, we’re still eyeing daily shots of rain through at least Saturday before our weather turns for the drier and hotter, even if only temporarily.
TONIGHT
Rain chances will pick up/increase heading into the overnight hours, primarily moving in from the west and spreading towards the east into the early morning hours.
A mild/humid night is sticking around for most(Dylan Smith)
Overnight lows stay steady in the 50s and 60s.
THURSDAY
Another mild day with high temperatures hanging out in the mid 80s.
It’ll be a warmer and at times sunnier day as we move into the second half of the week(Dylan Smith)
Rain chances will persist, although mostly in the form of a handful of isolated showers and storms in the afternoon hours.
EXTENDED WEATHER PATTERN
As we move further into June we’re looking at a change towards hotter and drier, at least by the first half of next week.

It’s been a refreshing and welcome start to the month with all the rain that we’ve seen so far in the past 3 days.
Once the rain chances begin to clear out/lessen we’ll see high temperatures begin to soar next week(Dylan Smith)
We do still have rain chances in store through Saturday and even a few isolated showers Sunday, but things are looking drier beyond that.
