The concept is opening its second North Texas location alongside an immersive new agave-focused cocktail destination
One of North Texas’ most celebrated Mexican restaurants is getting ready to expand. Sueño Cocteleria Mexicana will officially open its second location on June 10 in Dallas’ Snider Plaza, bringing its signature blend of elevated Mexican cuisine, handcrafted cocktails and immersive hospitality to one of the city’s most recognizable retail districts.
The new restaurant, located at 6600 Snider Plaza, builds on the success of Sueño’s Richardson flagship, which helped establish the brand’s reputation for elevated Mexican cuisine, handcrafted masa and immersive hospitality. The original restaurant quickly became a destination for diners seeking a modern interpretation of Mexican culinary traditions.
The Dallas expansion also introduces an entirely new concept: Alma Agave, an intimate tequila and mezcal lounge designed to celebrate the flavors, traditions and spirits of Mexico.
A Vision Rooted In Heritage
Sueño was founded by cousins Julio Pineda and Cristian Lujano, who were born in Mexico City and raised in Texas. Their vision blends traditional Mexican culinary techniques with contemporary hospitality and design.
In an official statement, co-founder Cristian Lujano said the new location was intentionally designed to create a complete experience for guests.
“From the front window where masa is prepared to the open kitchen and into the intimacy of Alma Agave, every element is designed to draw people in,” Lujano said. “It’s not just about dining or drinking — it’s a fully immersive experience that brings together craft, design and atmosphere.”
The new location was developed in partnership with The Bellomy Group, the Dallas-based hospitality company behind S&D Oyster Company, Rex’s Seafood and Caché.
A Menu Built Around Masa And Live Fire
At the heart of Sueño’s culinary philosophy is its in-house masa program.
Using heirloom blue and yellow corn, the restaurant prepares fresh nixtamal daily, creating tortillas, tetelas and tlayudas that serve as the foundation for much of the menu.
Executive Chef Cristos Andrade, a native of Monterrey, leads a culinary program that draws inspiration from regional Mexican cooking while incorporating influences from French, Italian and Japanese techniques.
Guests will find dishes such as:
Bone marrow pork belly with salsa tatemada and avocado purée
Tamarind ponzu sashimi scallops
Sushi-grade ahi tuna tartare
Jalisco birria tacos
Enchiladas suizas
Wood-fired carne asada
Fire-grilled fajitas
Salmon a la crema
Live-fire cooking plays a major role throughout the menu, adding depth and complexity to many of the restaurant’s signature dishes.

Meet Alma Agave
Perhaps the most intriguing addition is Alma Agave, a dedicated tequila and mezcal lounge tucked within the restaurant.
The concept was designed as an intimate destination where guests can explore the diverse spirits and regional traditions found across Mexico’s 32 states.
The beverage program highlights tequila, mezcal and lesser-known Mexican distillates while incorporating fermented ingredients, house-made infusions and creative elements such as masa foam and squash sodas.
A curated menu of small plates allows guests to explore flavors from regions including Mexico City, Monterrey, Jalisco and Oaxaca.

Designed To Tell A Story
The 6,259-square-foot restaurant was designed in collaboration with Mexico City-based architecture firm JSa and Arlington’s ch_Studio.
Drawing inspiration from traditional Mexican haciendas, the space features volcanic stone, warm woods, handwoven textiles and artisan-crafted furnishings sourced from studios throughout Mexico.
One of the restaurant’s focal points is a handwoven leather ceiling installation created by Oaxacan artist Adriana Monterrubio, while textiles from artisans in Michoacán add layers of authenticity throughout the dining room.
The restaurant will seat 116 guests indoors, 38 on the patio and 23 inside Alma Agave.
