The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth (the Modern) has announced participation in Museums for All, a national initiative promoting accessibility for U.S. museums.

As a program of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) federal agency, Museums for All offers free or discounted admission of up to $5 to registered participants in the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
The Modern will offer free admission for up to four people, including special exhibition tickets, to anyone presenting a SNAP benefits card at the admissions desk.
Museums for All states its purpose as “open[ing] museum doors to all, helping museums serve their entire community.” According to the program’s website, since launching in 2014 more than 15 million people have been served by the initiative, and museums have reported “significant shifts” in visitor demographics.
Museums for All lists more than 1,600 participating U.S. museums, including 96 Texas institutions. The San Antonio Museum of Art joined Museums for All in 2020, and Meow Wolf Houston announced participation in the program in January 2026.
Other participating Texas art museums include the Art Museum of South Texas in Corpus Christi; the Briscoe Western Art Museum, The Contemporary at Blue Star, and the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio; The Contemporary Austin; the El Paso Museum of Art; The Grace Museum in Abilene; the International Museum of Art & Science in McAllen; the Longview Museum of Fine Arts; the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas; and the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts.
