An overnight multi-vehicle crash in Grand Prairie left one person dead and injured a second person, according to a news release from the Grand Prairie Police Department.
The incident happened in the 2700 block of E IH-30, according to authorities.
At about 3:20 a.m. Sunday, a semi-truck traveling westbound near MacArthur Boulevard in slow-moving traffic was hit from behind by a Chevy Tahoe, the release said.
Police said the Tahoe then collided with a Honda passenger car. The driver of the Honda received “non-life-threatening injuries.”

The driver of the Tahoe was pronounced dead at the scene, but the semi-truck driver was not injured, the release said.
Police said, according to witness statements, the driver of the Tahoe was speeding before the accident and was not wearing a seatbelt.
Police did not release the identity of the Tahoe driver and said it will be released by the Dallas Medical Examiner’s Office once the family is notified.
