Texas electricity provider CenterPoint Energy is continuing to restore power to Southeast Texans who were left without electricity when some strong storms moved through in the morning and into the afternoon.
Crews have been out repairing damaged lines and will continue working into the night, the company said Saturday afternoon.
But the number of flight delays continues to rise at Houston airports as bad weather threw flight schedules off-kilter in Houston and at both Dallas airports as well as New York’s JFK.
Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport reports 318 delays as of 8 pm Saturday and 6 flights cancelled, while Houston Hobby reports 94 delays and 4 flights cancelled today.
