DALLAS COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) – A Plantersville man died in a single-vehicle crash about 9:10 a.m. Friday, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Leonard Parten Jr., 59, was driving a Ford pickup when it left the roadway and struck a tree, the agency said. Parten was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened on Alabama 219 near mile marker 7, about three miles north of Selma.
No information on the cause of the crash was immediately released.
