AUSTIN, TX– The 2026 season for Oregon baseball has come to a close. With a 6-5 loss to No.6 Texas Sunday night the Ducks run in the postseason has come to an abrupt end.
The Ducks fell down early 2-0 after Oregon starting pitcher Will Sanford allowed back-to-back home runs to start off the day. In the 2nd inning, Sanford would allowed two more runs to Longhorns, putting the Ducks down 4-0.
In the third inning Oregon would fight back, trailing 4-1, scoring two runs in the inning to cut the deficit down to one. The Ducks would then proceed to add another run in the 5th inning to tie the game and another run in the 7th to take the lead.
But in the 8th inning, with the bases loaded, Texas would drive in two runs on a double by Adrian Rodriguez that would seal the end of Ducks’ season.
Oregon will finish the 2026 season with a 43-18 record.
