January 22 was a sad day for hipsters and trendy fashionistas across San Antonio when the city’s sole Urban Outfitters exited its home of 18 years at the Shops at La Cantera. However, San Antonio shoppers will be stoked to learn that Urban Outfitters is not done with the 210 just yet.
Urban Outfitters appears to be staging a comeback at San Antonio’s oldest shopping mall, according to a project details page registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. A new store is planned for North Star Mall with an estimated $916,731 budget to complete the project, which will include new walls, fixtures, storefront and lighting.
The renovation is expected to run from August 3, 2026, to November 19, 2026, though those dates are subject to change. MySA reached out to URBN (Urban Outfitters’ parent company) and North Star Mall to confirm which suite the new store will occupy, but we have not yet received a response from either party.
