FORT WORTH, Texas — The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 5200 block of East Rosedale on June 6, 2026.
At approximately 9:10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the scene where a suspect, dressed in all black, fired a gun indiscriminately toward a group of people, according to a press release from the department. The suspect was last seen running toward a nearby apartment community.
An adult female was critically injured after being struck in the head by gunfire and was transported to a local hospital. A Fort Worth police officer, who was in his patrol vehicle, was injured by shrapnel when a bullet penetrated his windshield. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Additionally, a child was grazed in the head by a bullet and an elderly female was struck in the hip. Both were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
