FORT WORTH, Texas — The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a homicide following a shooting incident in the West Division.
On Sunday, June 7, 2026, at approximately 9:54 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Nursery Lane. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim lying in the roadway with at least one apparent gunshot wound, according to a press release from the department. Despite medical care provided by officers and Fort Worth Fire, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Several witnesses in the area reported hearing gunshots and observed a possible suspect leaving the location. Officers have detained one person of interest, the department stated.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the manner and cause of death, as well as the identity of the deceased.
