A popular Vietnamese restaurant in Houston is preparing to pour its final bowls of pho. Monday marks the final day of business for The Pho Fix in The Stomping Grounds at 1223 W 34th St. in Garden Oaks. The business announced its sudden closure on social media Sunday, with owner Danny Pham describing it as a “difficult decision” made after careful consideration.
“Serving our community has been one of the greatest privileges of our lives. What started as a dream became a place where families gathered, friends shared meals, celebrations happened, and countless bowls of pho brought people together,” Pham’s statement read. “We are incredibly grateful to every guest who supported us, visited us, shared our posts, recommended us to friends, and made The Pho Fix part of your lives. Your support, kindness, and loyalty meant more than words can express.”
While this chapter is coming to an end, Pham went on to say that he’s leaving with gratitude for the memories, relationships and community built through The Pho Fix— a longtime dream sought to bring “a taste of home to a new city,” according to the the restaurant’s website.
The Pho Fix opened in 2021, originally bringing customizable pho, vermicelli bowls and other Vietnamese comfort dishes to downtown’s Underground Food Hall. A few years later, Pham brought his casual concept to The Stomping Grounds—one of 15 vendors at the Garden Oaks retail and entertainment space.
Pham did not provide a specific reason for the closure in Sunday’s announcement, but Chron has reached out for more details. The restaurant’s team said it will offer a limited menu on its final day of service.
