A prominent McKinney landmark is getting a second act. Craig International Inc. has been tapped to transform the former Globe Life corporate headquarters into a $200 million mixed-use development, bringing new energy, jobs and investment to the area.

David Craig’s real estate development and investment firm, which is based in McKinney, plans to redevelop the 58-acre site at 3700 S. Stonebridge Drive into Rowlett Station, a phased project with multifamily, retail, office and hike-and-bike trails. The project is named after Rowlett Creek, which borders the western edge of the property, according to a June 8 announcement.
Although, additional details regarding project partners, branding and phased development plans are expected in the coming months, infrastructure work is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027.
“This was a rare opportunity to convert a truly irreplaceable site in one of the strongest growth markets in the country,” Craig said in a statement. “The former Globe Life campus offers exceptional scale, location and optionality.
