LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Reliant is teaming up with the city of Lubbock again this summer to help families beat the heat.
Through Aug. 31, residents can stop by during regular hours to cool off, get free water, use WiFi and charge their devices.
Reliant is also donating $10,000 to provide 400 box fans to Lubbock residents, along with heat safety tips, care packages and information on bill payment assistance for Reliant customers.
A press conference at Patterson Library marked the official opening of the Lubbock Beat the Heat centers.
