There may not be a player on the Packers‘ roster more vital to Green Bay’s success and Super Bowl chances than Micah Parsons.
After all, Green Bay traded two first round picks to acquire Parsons, who became a dominant center piece to the defense in his first season wearing a Packers uniform before suffering a torn ACL last December.

If the Packers are going to make significant progress towards winning the Lombardi this season, Parsons returning to form and fully health will be pivotal.
NFL Media analyst Matt Okada put together a list of each team’s most vital number and stat entering this season, including 17 for the Packers. That happens to be the number of quarterback pressures Parsons generated in 2025.
“The Packers’ trade for Micah Parsons last August was an immediate success,” Okada writes. “Through Week 14, his 78 quarterback pressures were the most in the NFL and Green Bay sat atop the NFC North. He then suffered a major knee injury in Week 15, and the Packers lost every game from that contest through the Wild Card Round. Parsons likely won’t return until October, at the earliest, so Green Bay’s season may be defined by how well it fares without him and how quickly he returns to full strength.”
If Parsons can come close to replicating or even surpassing that kind of disruptiveness in the backfield, the Packers’ defense is going to be well on its way to powering a postseason charge in the season ahead.
