Texas Roadhouse shooting in Louisville: Employee shot, suspect identifed

A man accused of shooting an employee at a Louisville Texas Roadhouse has been identified.Ronald Winter, 24, was allegedly trying to leave the restaurant in Okolona Thursday without paying when he was confronted by an employee. Police said the employee grabbed Winter’s arm before seeing him reach for his pocket or waistband area.The employee told investigators he attempted to tackle Winter to the ground and then heard a gunshot go off.The bullet hit the employee in the shoulder, but police said the injuries he suffered during the incident were non-life-threatening.He has already been released from the hospital.After the shooting, the injured employee and several witnesses at the scene identified Winter as the suspect. A short time later, police were able to track him down and take him into custody.Winter is now charged with second-degree assault and is being held at the Bullitt County Detention Center.He’s set to be arraigned later this month.This Texas Roadhouse location will reopen Friday at 3 p.m.
