LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Volunteer Center of Lubbock is inviting the community to come together for a day of service, connection, and family fun at 806ServeFest, taking place this Saturday, June 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. at 1219 Avenue K in Downtown Lubbock. The event is free and open to the public.
Designed to showcase the power of community involvement, 806ServeFest will bring together local nonprofits, businesses, volunteers, and families for an interactive festival celebrating service in the South Plains.
The free event will feature:Hands-on service projects for all agesOpportunities to meet and connect with local nonprofit organizationsLive music throughout the dayFood trucks and local vendorsFamily-friendly activities and gamesVolunteer opportunities and community engagement experiences
Unlike a traditional festival, 806ServeFest gives attendees the opportunity to actively participate in projects that benefit local causes while learning about organizations making a difference in Lubbock every day.
More than two dozen community organizations will be on site sharing volunteer opportunities, resources, and interactive experiences. Attendees will have the chance to complete service projects, meet local leaders, and learn how they can stay involved long after the event ends.
The Volunteer Center of Lubbock hopes 806ServeFest becomes a catalyst for ongoing community engagement and a celebration of the organizations and volunteers who strengthen Lubbock throughout the year.
