AT&T Stadium will operate under an expanded security perimeter during the 2026 World Cup, with FIFA taking full control of the venue and surrounding streets to enforce some of the strictest screening procedures ever used in North Texas.

The most important regulation for fans attending matches in Arlington is the clear bag requirement. AT&T Stadium only allows transparent bags measuring 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches or smaller, along with one‑gallon clear plastic bags and small clutches no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches.

Backpacks, purses, camera bags, and any non‑clear bags larger than clutch size will be denied at the gate, with no storage options available outside the stadium.

AT&T Stadium will also follow FIFA’s prohibited‑items list, which bans umbrellas, selfie sticks, flagpoles, tripods, drones, fireworks, and professional‑grade cameras with detachable lenses. Outside food and drinks are not permitted, and items such as seat cushions with pockets or oversized keychains may be rejected if they interfere with screening.

Some items, however, are allowed. Fans may bring mobile phones, portable chargers under 100 watt‑hours, sunglasses, hats, rain ponchos and small nonprofessional cameras. Personal medication is permitted if it remains in its original packaging.

These rules are designed to reduce congestion at security checkpoints, especially with crowds of more than 80,000 expected for all nine World Cup matches at AT&T Stadium.
