TRIADELPHIA, W.Va. — A popular restaurant at The Highlands abruptly closed this week, posting a sign on its front doors that reads, “We will remain closed until further notice — thank you.”
No reason was given to the media for the closure. ICE was confirmed to be at The Highlands this week. ICE officials in Philadelphia, who oversee the area, have been contacted, but there was no further comment as of Friday.
El Paso Mexican Grill addressed the closure in a Facebook post, saying, “We want to clarify that our temporary closure was not related to any health department action, listeria concerns, or food safety issues. Any rumors suggesting otherwise are false. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.”
