FORT WORTH – Larry Edwin Branham, beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and proud Fort Worth resident, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, at the age of 86. Born in Missouri to Harold and Eva Branham, Larry lived a life marked by dedication, integrity, accomplishment, and an unwavering love for his family and community. He was preceded in death by his sister, Julie Marshall and his brother, Earl Branham. Larry was a proud graduate of Texas Christian University, where he distinguished himself as a leader, serving as president of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. During his college years, Larry also honorably served his country as an Airman First Class in the United States Air Force Reserves, working as a Surgical Technician. The friendships and values formed during his university years remained important to him throughout his life. A respected Certified Public Accountant, Larry built and operated his own private accounting practice, earning the trust and admiration of clients through his professionalism, sound judgment, and commitment to helping others. His dedication to the accounting profession spanned more than five decades, and he was honored as a Fifty-Year Continuous Fellow by the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants in recognition of his longstanding commitment and service to the profession. He was also an active member of the Optimist Club of Fort Worth, reflecting his lifelong belief in service, community involvement, and making a positive difference in the lives of others. Larry embraced life with enthusiasm and a competitive spirit. He enjoyed golf and proudly won a tournament trophy at Ridglea Country Club in 1974. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball and was a talented trumpet player, whose music brought joy to those around him. He also developed a deep appreciation for history through his collection of antique rifles and autographed baseballs, a hobby he pursued with great interest and knowledge. Above all else, Larry’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of sixty-one years, Beverly Branham, whose partnership and love enriched his life in many ways. He was a caring and supportive father to his daughters, Ann Costello and her husband, Eric Costello, and Pam Carlson and her husband, Steve Carlson. Nothing brought Larry greater happiness than his cherished grandchildren: Katie Costello, Ritt Costello, Vivian Costello, Reese Carlson, and Nash Carlson. He took immense pride in each of them and treasured every opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and share in their lives. Larry loved Fort Worth and was proud to call it home. He appreciated its traditions, its people, and the community that became such an important part of his life story. His kindness, wisdom, sense of humor, and steadfast character touched countless lives and left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Larry will be remembered for his devotion to family, his professional excellence, his community spirit, and the quiet strength and generosity that defined his life. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the many friends and colleagues who were fortunate to know him. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered with love. A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, in Greenwood Memorial Park, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
