It’s difficult to picture cowboy boots without imagining new frontiers, and so it’s no surprise to learn that Tecovas is yet again bringing their boots where they haven’t been before. This time, closer to Texas’ biggest university, where they are known to love cowboy boots.
According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the Austin-based retailer plans to open their first location in College Station this fall. It’s part of an expansion to Century Square, the mixed-use destination near Texas A&M University that features an array of shopping and restaurant options, and regularly hosts community events.
The Tecovas $700,000 construction project will reportedly be 1,744 feet of boots and boot-related accessories in Century Square at 155 Century Court, Suite 109. It is currently slated to be completed in mid-October, smack dab in the middle of football season.
“We are excited to expand our presence and bring our handcrafted, heritage-quality cowboy boots and Western footwear to more communities,” a Tecovas spokesperson told Chron.

Tecovas recently opened its first location in the Pacific Northwest, and currently has more than 50 locations nationwide.
Founded in 2015 by Texan Paul Hedrick, Tecovas has become widely popular in and outside of Texas for men’s and women’s boots. But they don’t just sell you the boots. The shops are a sort of one-stop service station as well, offering to shine them, stretch them and give them a personalized stamp. It’s like Jiffy Lube, but with a better waiting room and beverages.
