Another week, another weekend where drivers are being warned of closures expected to hit a major San Antonio highway. As a major expansion project continues, drivers need to be wary of these planned shutdowns from TxDOT.
The latest phase of the Loop 1604 North Expansion Project will see major closures at the I-10 and Loop 1604 interchange this weekend. The closures are expected to start at 5 a.m. Sunday, June 14, and last through 5 a.m. Monday, June 15, according to a TxDOT news release.
The Eastbound and Westbound Loop 1604 frontage roads at the interchange will be closed, in addition to the Eastbound I-10 mainlanes and the left lane of the Westbound I-10 mainlanes. However all flyers at the Loop 1604 and I-10 interchange will remain open, according to the release.
