The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood warning for parts of the Austin area as heavy rains move through Central Texas in the early morning hours.
A Flash Flood Warning means flash flooding is already happening or expected to happen soon.
Southwestern Burnet County is under a Flash Flood Warning until 3:45 a.m.
Most of Travis County and parts of Bastrop, Lee and Williamson counties are under a Flash Flood Warning until 6:15 a.m.
The National Weather Service says up to three inches of rain has already fallen in some areas and up to three more inches of rain is possible.
Drivers are reminded to avoided flooded areas in roadways.
