Brheanna Boudreaux, who worked at the station under the name Brhe Berry, announced Sunday that she is joining KHOU 11 as an anchor.
“I’ve missed Houston, I’ve missed Texas, and I can’t wait to get back to work and be close to family,” Boudreaux wrote on social media. “My Houston friends, you can catch me anchoring the evening news and sharing stories that will hopefully help us all navigate this crazy economy.”
Boudreaux confirmed to Chron that she will co-anchor KHOU 11’s 4 p.m. newscast and report on consumer issues.
Boudreaux spent several years at ABC13 as an anchor, reporter and traffic anchor before departing Houston in 2023. Before arriving in Houston, she worked as an anchor, reporter and social media director at WTKR News 3 in Norfolk, Va. She also spent time at KELOLAND News in Sioux Falls, S.D., where she worked as a morning anchor, reporter and health reporter.
The daughter of an Army soldier, Boudreaux grew up moving frequently, living throughout the United States and overseas, though she considers Louisiana home.
Her broadcasting career began at News 10 in Lafayette, La., where she worked as a weekend anchor, reporter and multimedia journalist. She also served in the Louisiana Army National Guard. Boudreaux graduated from James Madison University with a degree in journalism and a minor in sports communication.
According to her station biography, Boudreaux has partnered with organizations including Dress for Success, Big Brothers Big Sisters and veterans outreach programs. She has also volunteered with the Red Cross and helped organize Christmas events for foster children.
