San Antonio remains under a flood watch until 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, during which isolated areas could see up to eight inches of rain and “life-threatening flooding,” according to the National Weather Service’s Austin/San Antonio office. However, the City of San Antonio’s Solid Waste Management department confirmed with MySA that there will be no interruption of services due to the heavy rains.
Pick-up days for trash and recycling vary by address in the Alamo City. If you’re a first-time homeowner and are still unsure when to put your bins on the street, San Antonio’s Solid Waste Management offers a My Collection Day page that allows residents to input their address and see when drivers will dispose of trash and recycling.
For example, someone living on Wickersham Street will have their recycling bins picked up on Tuesdays and garbage picked up on Thursdays. Meanwhile a home on Vanderbilt Street will have their recycling picked up on Wednesdays and their garbage picked up on Fridays. All residents have to do is put their cans on the street the night prior to pick up.
